All the help for Aseel's family

Aim

The aim of my project is to raise funds for continuous support to Aseel's vulnerable family while surviving the ongoing aggressions in Gaza

Hi there,

Thank you very much for your interest in my fundraiser for Aseel.

My name is Demi and I'm a helper in the Mutual Aid network.

Limitations

I'm also a disabled lone parent of my 2 wee kids, currently living together in Scotland.

Our sustenance is based on receipt of our disability benefits and the minimal community support available in our area.

Border restrictions

As you may already be well aware, Humanitarian Aid is still blocked from entering Gaza. The available goods extremely restricted too.

This forces Aseel's displaced family to buy all their daily living essentials, and medication from their local market at skyrocketing prices.

⚕️🛍️🛒 Despite all the destruction and loss they have been experiencing the past 3 years, they have to be spending monthly towards their daily needs is £600 ($800/2500 shekels) minimum 🛒🛍️⚕️

Disability

Aseel's husband was seriously injured during a recent bombing and lost all his teeth as a result.

This is a major burden on his overall wellbeing, and sadly excludes him from joining their local workforce.

This isn't something they have been able to look into restoring for him yet, as their current priority is to secure their sheer survival.

Please note that the public dental clinic in Gaza is deprived from all the relevant equipment to treat him for free, and private clinics charge extraordinary amounts for such operations.

Hopefully when things stabilise for them, we will be able to help them towards this matter too 🥲✊🏻

Kids

They have 2 absolutely gorgeous kids; Adam and Misk, who still require nappies and milk formula.

Misk's skin condition

Misk is currently suffering with a severe skin condition which needs frequent relief and an ointment cream which costs a one-off £135 ($190/500 shekels).

 Her condition is critical without it and this beautiful girl is suffering in agony instead of enjoying her beautiful childhood. If at all able to, I urge you to please contribute towards this cost the soonest possible. Once in place, I will send the full amount to Aseel and hopefully Misk will feel brand new shortly after the specialised ointment is applied 🙏🏼

Kindergarten

What would also be wonderful for these kids is if we put together the funds for them to start attending nursery. A major relief for their parents too.

The cost of kindergarten is £110 ($150/450 shekels) per month, for both 💝💝

I personally believe they deserve little gifts and treats and the ability to join in local fun activities too.

Additional costs

Some funds towards transport costs would be good to be covered as well.

It's important to consider that their tent is made of nylon and not reinforced for the colder weather, so possible costs before autumn arrives include:

• Tarpaulins
• Pallets to raise their mattresses from the ground
• Additional firewood for heating purposes
• Additional batteries for lamps
• Funds for possible weather damage repairs
