On the 1st October 2023 we'd raised £390 with 9 supporters in 70 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
All City Arts College will operate as a non-fee-paying independent school for 14-19 year olds and will specialise in music, performing arts, creative media production and art and design.
We will work with all creative young people, with an admissions policy based on inclusivity, promoting diversity, and working with young people with special educational needs and disabilities. We will prioritise working with those students who have struggled to engage in mainstream settings and those who have been excluded from them.
Alongside our curriculum offer, All City Arts College will provide social justice through community impact and social mobility, as well as pedagogical innovation. Our work will allow us to contribute towards increasing diversity within the creative industries, benefiting individuals who might otherwise have been excluded from this sector as well as promoting an inclusive society by enabling wider access to this significant part of the UK economy.
Our creative curriculum will put joy back into learning and will re-engage learners alienated by the narrowing traditional knowledge based curricula that dominate mainstream education. It will also promote individual agency in learning, as well as having a strong focus on wellbeing and mental health. We will be a beacon of positive inclusive practice, something which we will be able to continuously develop through our research partnership with UCL’s Institute of Education.
The college will be co-located within a community of creative businesses and synchronous third sector organisations. Its central London location will provide access to numerous other creative businesses. We will be funded by philanthropic giving, combined with grants and funding from charities, foundations and local authorities, and revenue generated by the community of creative businesses that the college will be co-located within.
Please sign up as a supporter as we are keen to build our network and if you can make a donation, which will help us work towards our goal of opening our doors and welcoming All City Arts College’s first students in September 2024, we would be very grateful.
We will use this money for set up costs and all your donations will be processed through CIVA, a charity with over 25 years of experience of setting up new and innovative organisations. CIVA is a registered charity - charity number 1122095.
A huge thank you for your generosity and support!
