Who are we?
Aliya Youth Project was set up in 2019 after 4 young tragedies. Since then, and especially post-covid with more challenging mental health issues emerging, our services are becoming ever more critical.
We are providing therapy, support, interventions and recovery programmes for over 200 people each week.
Saving lives
We are literally saving lives. Working at the sharp edge of youth work, regularly dealing with issues of abuse, molestation, suicide, addiction, neglect, trauma etc. Our staff are trained up to the highest levels and are often making life and death decisions.
The Aliya Centre
Apart from outreach and therapy, we have set up a safe space, for young people to meet, crash, chill, play eat and sleep if necessary. We have weekly events and programs, mindfulness and wellbeing seminars, educational workshops for children and parents, therapy and music sessions.
Why are we crowdfunding?
Aliya Youth Project is being inundated with requests from people who desperately need our help. The costs to run the centre and our programmes has shot up. Gas, electricity fuel, staff as well as therapy costs have all escalated. We don't want to turn a child away, and we desperately need more funds to match the demand.
The money raised will be used to help us to provide adequate support for everyone who needs. Please join us to give the children of our community a brighter and secure future
Thank you.
