Aim

Our Winter Appeal will bring about vital creative pathways for children and young people in Exeter and the South West

Two years ago, Alibi opened as a vibrant new creative venue for our local community: a place for children and young people to discover their own creativity through enriching, playful experiences.

In the last few months we have:

  • Launched a brand-new creative programme in 4 local primary schools, a free weekly music session for early years, and a weekly choir for 7-11 year olds.
  • Awarded bursary places to children otherwise unable to attend our events via local schools and refugee charities, and distributed tickets to families via our local Foodbank with our Pay It Forward scheme.
  • Run community play cafés, comedy shows, a month-long play installation and two fantastic weeks of Summer School.

We are about to welcome hundreds of families into our building for The Wintertime Hotel - an immersive winter experience for people of all ages.

As a charity, we need to fundraise for all our activity. Your support will help us in our mission to create playful, safe and inclusive spaces for all children to be creative.

Why support Alibi?

Since opening our doors we've welcomed thousands of children and families into our space.  We’ve hosted performances, workshops, live music, a ceilidh and an actual pine tree forest, building a community where every child—regardless of background or circumstance—can belong.

"I cannot recommend the work Alibi are doing enough. Our Partnership has the potential to transform outcomes for the most underserved in our multi-cultural inner-city community." Head Teacher, St Thomas Primary

"I wanted to support an important offer in our community - theatre opportunities for children. I know how much it benefits children working together on something creative, nourishing and fun. And I think it's important to make that opportunity accessible and inclusive so all children have a chance to be seen, heard and celebrated. Please consider making a donation if you can." - Anonymous Alibi Supporter
