My name is Alex Ballinger and I'm standing to be Labour's next MP for Halesowen.
I've always been driven by public service. I've served with the Royal Marines, led humanitarian projects in the Middle East, and now run a mental health charity that helps people across Birmingham and the Black Country.
I twice served my country in Afghanistan helping keep our country safe, before becoming an aid worker and diplomat. I helped set up schools and hospitals for people fleeing war zones, helped organise aid convoys to Syria and worked on girls education in Pakistan.
We have a real chance to achieve a Labour victory in Halesowen. The route for a Labour Government in Westminster runs through our constituency. Please support me so we can defeat the Tories in Halesowen and achieve the change our country desperately needs.
