Making life in this neighbourhood better by providing places to meet and connect - toddler group, coffee shop led by disabled teens & more

Help us welcome people into our beautiful church, re-start our Carer and Toddler Drop-in and grow our lovely community café run by disabled teens.

This friendly, lively neighbourhood has been hit hard by Covid - too many deaths, too many businesses failing, too many people struggling to get by. Our beautiful church and spacious church halls are places to meet, places to find support or simply somewhere to sit, to be quiet and still for a while.

We started opening our church Monday to Friday in August and have been astonished at how many people walk through the doors each day. We installed wifi which we are about to make free to anyone who comes in. We have just started a little community cafe twice a week, run by young people with disabilities. Our next steps are to re-open the toddler group, closed since the start of the first lockdown, and to re-start our food bank collection and referral service. Next year, we hope to re-start our Generation Gap social club, linking children from a local primary school with isolated elderly people for crafts, music and dancing.

We can do so much here and we have volunteers ready to help. Your gift will help us pay the bills - heating a church to keep it open six days a week is expensive - and to pay our part-time staff to keep the building open and lead the activities.

There is so much happening and so many people willing to take part - please help us keep our buildings busy and full of activities.
