We hope to raise funds to further develop our fantastic Children's Farm, including adding playground equipment and more trees.

Alderney Children's Centre was founded to address the critical shortage of full time, quality childcare in Alderney - a tiny 3 square mile island in the English Channel.
The Centre has now expanded on its registered day nursery to include a soft play area open to the public, holidays clubs, a variety of free children's workshops and events and, most recently, a fully functional Children's Farm.
The 2 acre Children's Farm hosts a variety of chickens and quail, three commercial polytunnels, a market garden, an expansive growing field and a fantastic, secure Forest School area that includes living willow structures, fire pit, obstacle course, slide and mud kitchen. The children spend their days outside, assisting with animal care, planting, tending and harvesting as well as playing and learning together.
The site has a Farm Stand bringing the children's fresh produce to the community.
We have recently been shortlisted in the final 5 for the Business Development Awards in the annual UK Nursery Awards - the only provision in the Channel Islands to be shortlisted in any of the 24 categories.
Our staff work tirelessly, and often into their own time, to create the most immersive, inspiring environment possible for the children, their families and visitors to the island.
We are hoping to raise funds to continue the development of the space, including planting more fruit trees and bushes, installing a storage shed, improving irrigation and installing some fixed playground equipment. Should we be lucky enough to receive extra funding, further projects are in the pipeline such as creating more covered spaces, expanding the chicken coop and securing farm machinery.
