Short Film - Haunted Minds
Based on the stage play 'Dead Man Talking' by Don Hill
The play was originally inspired by the Hungerford Shootings that took place in Aug 1987 when Michael Robert Ryan, an Unemployed Antique Dealer, fatally shot 16 people.
Our Film cuts between Tony Burkin (the killer) and PC Roberts perspectives of events. We open the movie in a psychiatrist office with a Male Patient. The Patient begins to explain why he is there. From then on the drama unfolds. Tony Burkin is holedup in an abandoned property.
Many Police Officers suffer traumas when witnessing atrocities. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder effects 260 million people worldwide and 1 in 5 Police Officers, at some point in their careers will be victim to this.
The original script was adapted and rewritten by Darren Kent.
