Afghanistan Earthquake Appeal

Aim

We’re uniting to raise emergency funds for Afghanistan earthquake survivors. Every pound will help provide vital aid.

A powerful magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan late on Sunday night, killing more than 800 people and leaving over 2,500 injured. Entire villages have been destroyed, families are homeless, and communities are in urgent need of food, water, shelter and medical care.

We are calling on the Crowdfunder community to come together in support of the people of Afghanistan. By uniting, we can raise vital funds to provide life-saving assistance for families who have lost everything.

On the night of 31 August 2025, Afghanistan’s mountainous eastern provinces were shaken by a devastating shallow earthquake. Homes built from mud and stone crumbled instantly, and rescue workers are struggling to reach remote communities due to landslides and blocked mountain roads.

The need is urgent:

• Emergency shelter for families who have lost their homes
• Medical care for the thousands injured
• Food, water and essentials for those left with nothing
• Long-term support to help rebuild devastated communities

The Crowdfunder Foundation will work with established charities operating in Afghanistan to ensure that all funds are used effectively, transparently, and where they’re needed most.

All donations will be held securely by the Crowdfunder Foundation until they are paid out to the nominated charities. The Crowdfunder Foundation is administered by Charities Trust, registered charity number 327489.

Together, as a community, we can stand with the people of Afghanistan at this time of unimaginable loss. Every donation, no matter the size, will help provide urgent relief and hope for the future.
