Aim

Since the introduction of the right to buy scheme council housing stock has depleted to a critical point

Since the introduction of the right to buy scheme council housing stock has depleted to a critical point that is affecting people who have to wait years on housing lists waiting for a new home that in reality is never going to happen. 

New homes are needed to try and meet the demands of not only those on housing waiting lists but as a stepping stone to address the issues of homelessness and rising unemployment in these difficult times. 

My goal is to try and breath new life into communities by providing high quality homes for social housing tenants at low rents for those on a low income and people who struggle to find a home in the private sector. 

This project will also generate employment opportunities for locals as the various trades that will be needed in order to manage and maintain the properties for future generations to come. 

This project closed unsuccessfully on 4th September 2016
