To fund a MeetUp subscription so Adults with Autism and/or ADHD in the Midlands can keep on meeting, sharing experiences and enjoying life.
Run by neuro-divergent volunteers, and supported by Resources for Autism, these groups utilise a shared Meetup.com subscription due for renewal soon. We aim to raise £1,000 to cover four years’ Meetup subscription costs and ensure their long-term future.
Your donation will be securely ring-fenced by Resources for Autism (Charity No. 1061253), a registered charity and company since 1997. It will cover subscription costs to ensure the groups' ongoing viability.
Loneliness and social connection challenges are significant for many neuro-divergent, especially autistic, individuals. A 2023 Swansea University study found that autistic people are four times more likely to experience loneliness than neurotypicals. These groups provide crucial support networks—both in-person and online— where differences will be understood, and friendships can flourish!
