Adama wants to challenge the Home Office decision to forcibly remove him from the UK. He needs your help to cover his legal fees.
We believe that Adama should be allowed to stay in the UK on a permanent basis, so he can provide for himself and be part of the community he has grown to love. He has been acknowledged by the Home Office as a victim of trafficking and modern slavery but even so he has just heard that he will be forcibly removed and returned to a country which treated him badly. Despite having vulnerable mental health, Adama is a committed young man who has survived indescribable hardship and physical and psychological torture at the hands of human traffickers. Medical professionals involved in his care believe that being forced to leave the UK would be detrimental to Adama’s mental health and would have an adverse effect on his chances on his recovery from PTSD.
We believe that Adama has the right to a chance to recover and thrive in the UK and would be an exemplary, kind and peaceful citizen. He has been living in Bristol for the best part of a decade now and still finds himself with an uncertain future.
Adama is the kind of person whom you warm to immediately on meeting. He loves to watch and play football with his friends. He also plays a significant role in helping a friend to look after her children, one of whom has autism.
Adama just wants an opportunity to live a normal, quiet life here in Bristol, surrounded by the people who love him.
Can we come together to make this happen?
