Aim

No child should miss out on being active — Axé for All brings Capoeira, joy, and community to every child, no matter the cost!

We’re Kasia and Grześ, the team behind Axé Boom Boom, a community organisation bringing Capoeira and Afro-Brazilian arts to children and adults. Our vision is simple: keep kids active for life! We believe that no child should be excluded from being active, and what better way to be active than through Capoeira — a joyful, creative, and empowering movement practice that combines music, play, and physical activity.

Through Axé for All, we want to ensure that every child can join our community classes and take part in our Batizado grading ceremony, regardless of financial barriers.

Capoeira is more than movement — it builds confidence, resilience, cultural connection, and a sense of belonging. Every week, we see children grow stronger — physically, emotionally, and socially — simply because they are given the opportunity to participate.

How Funds Will Be Used

Funds raised will allow us to:

• Provide free and subsidised spaces
To reduce financial barriers and promote inclusion.
An average Capoeira term costs £160. Supporting a minimum of 30 children over one year requires £4,800.

• Support children to take part in our Batizado
Strengthening family connections and community belonging.
A two-day workshop with visiting Masters of Capoeira from Brazil, grading ceremony, and handmade belts and t-shirts costs £55 per child.
Supporting 30 children requires £1,650, plus £1,500 to bring teachers from Brazil.

• Sustain inclusive classes in accessible venues
Supporting physical and mental health, confidence, and wellbeing.
Venue hire averages £35 per hour. With 4 classes per week across 38 school weeks, the annual cost is £5,320.

• Create a welcoming and inclusive community space
Encouraging lifelong participation in sport, arts, and culture.
Marketing and outreach to reach families and promote active lifestyles costs £1,500.

Through Axé for All, we aim to make Capoeira accessible to every child and family, including those experiencing poverty, loneliness, or social isolation. We warmly welcome children of all ethnic backgrounds.

You may wonder what Axé means — in Brazilian culture, it’s pronounced ah-SHEH and represents good energy, joy, and connection: the energy of community, rhythm, and positive vibes. That’s exactly what we aim to bring into every class and every Roda - a circle where we play Capoeira together.

With your support, we can remove barriers, expand opportunity, and bring the power of Capoeira to more children & young people in our community — keeping the classes and events open and inclusive for all.
