12th March 2016Action-for-Cabbies – URGENT LAST MINUTE APPEAL (only 2 days left)
Action-for-Cabbies would like to make it very clear there is NO plan B if we hit the required £600k target.
We still need to raise £278,637 by 10.15am on Monday 14th March 2016 (2 days). We’ve already contacted the trade big hitters and kindly asked them to dig deep and make up the difference to help get TfL into court for licensing Uber in 2012. We will all know by the close of the fundraise on Monday morning whether the trade big hitters have weighed in or not.
Action-for-Cabbies is letting the fund run to the end as we wouldn't want any organisation or potential backer to have the excuse they didn’t pledge because of plan B. As previously stated there is NO plan B if we reach £600k target by the time the fundraise closes on Monday morning.
In regards to money that’s been pledged and if the £600k target is not reached, we’ll be putting out a statement on Monday (once the fund has closed) informing backers they have 2 weeks to withdraw their pledge using a simple click through to cancel their donation.

I totally agree with Singh. Its a disgrace. I say to those who haven't & won't pledge to stop moaning to your wives,partners,kids,cousins,friends and passengers about how uber have come along & killed the game because you don't have a heart or soul about anyone else except yourselves & expect others to bail your trade out for you.I bet you any money that,not all but,most of those who haven't helped are those who have been in the game for a while who had very good years,who have paid of their mortgages,who kept saying "not going that way" for years. You've made your money. What about the rest of us who haven't had a good life being a cabbie as we expected it. Yes,your properly saying "we've got no chance agaist the rich boys & the system will always favour the money bags"but what else have we got. I've been a cabbie not long & before I started I thought cabbies were a very close community but,I'm beginning to think otherwise!!! Just over 4000 people have donated & I wonder how many of those are cabbies??? To those who haven't donated,just keep on moaning because that's all your good for!!! TO ALL TRUE CABBIES........DONATE & DONATE NOW!
12th March 2016I think it's a absulute disgrace. Just over 4K people have pledged when there is over 20k working taxi drivers. People who havnt pledged I urge you to do so asap. U should be ashamed of yourselfs. Pledge now to help save your future.
