Action For Cabbies - Black Cabbies v TfL

We’re now two thirds of the way through the Actions-for-Cabbies campaign, but have only raised one third of the required amount to start this action. Whilst the target figure of £600k may seem quite far off, Action-for-Cabbies truly believes it can still be reached.

We currently have 2,671 backers, which means many drivers have not contributed to the campaign. If 10,000 or more drivers contributed £40 each, we’d have reached the target and could then kick-off the action.

Please note: No money will be taken until 14 March 2016 and we hit the target we need.

How do we reach these drivers?

For the next three weeks we’re going to push hard by letting every driver know what Action-for-Cabbies is campaigning to do, and how important this action is for the survival of the Trade.

To this end we’ve taken full-page adverts in all the major trade papers (some of whom have provided space for free), which should reach most drivers/Trade suppliers in the last few weeks of the campaign. By the end of the campaign no driver/Trade supplier will be able to say they hadn’t heard about the campaign.

We would also ask everyone to make a concerted effort to push on all social media channels, pass onto other drivers, inform Stakeholders and Trade suppliers that they need to pledge now. If you’ve already pledged please remember to print and display the ‘I’ve donated, have you?’ flyer, as we really need to ramp up the campaigns profile in the remaining weeks.

Stakeholders & Trade suppliers

Many donors have requested that we list the names of Stakeholders and Trade suppliers who’ve actually supported Action-for-Cabbies, which we’ll do once the campaign closes.
