Action For Cabbies - Black Cabbies v TfL

We are now into week 2 of the Action-for-Cabbies campaign and are astonished by the amount that’s been donated ‘£118,991’. You’ll have noticed a slight slowdown in donations, which is to be expected in a campaign of this size, simply because the initial week always creates lots of noise and awareness.

Raising the profile of the campaign

We now need to raise the profile of the campaign and have produced a leaflet, which we would kindly ask you to print and display. If possible please print a few extra copies for others, as some donors may not have a printer. Please only give to those who have donated or are going to donate.

This leaflet will let others know you have donated and will also serve as a constant reminder to those who are thinking about donating. It will also lift our profile with the public as the campaign grows.

Many of the1900 plus donors offered to help with the distribution of 100,000 flyers. We wish to say a big thank you to those who kindly gave their time ‘thank you’. Many others wanted to help but weren’t able to do so for various reasons. Liability

There have been a few questions asking whether those who have donated or are thinking about donating will be liable if TfL win this case. In short, there will be NO liabilities at the permission stage of the JR, and if we lose the JR we’ll have raised enough money to cover that cost or the JR wouldn’t go ahead in the first place. So please don’t worry about any liabilty as it will be covered, we know there’s some scare mongering going on and you can only draw your own conclusion why.

We really need to start ramping up the campaign as the powers that be would like nothing more than for this action to fall flat on it’s face, so please help in anyway you can.
