Aim

To purchase Electrical equipment that will eliminate potential injury whilst lifting heavy mats.

Who are we?

Woodcote Short Mat Bowls are small local club that started more than 30 years ago. It is for the community to have the facility to Bowl indoors during the winter months, when outdoor bowls are unable to play.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We desperately need some new equipment to replace our now manual system, which is very old, heavy and awkward for our aging membership. There are fewer and fewer members that are able to set up and pack away the mats. We are very conscious of the vulnerability of the members and the new Electrical equipment would make it easier for almost anyone to set up and put away.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The money will be spend to purchase a new Electrowind mat storage system, along with two new mats.

Community impact

Without this new equipment the future of Woodcote Short Mat Bowls Club would be uncertain, meaning that our members would be without anywhere locally to play Bowls in the winter months, a time that is not easy to find alternation activities.
