The Acorn Children’s Clinic was born out of a deep passion to support the health and wellbeing of children of all ages and their families.
There are ever increasing children with mental-emotional, physical, behavioural and neurological challenges, especially over recent years, and the clinic is a safe place where your child can come for help and support in their journey to thrive.
Alongside children and teenagers up to 18, the clinic also treats pregnant and post-natal women up to 6 months post birth. Every patient is treated with a holistic approach to help restore, maintain and support physical and emotional health and wellbeing with expert Paediatric Osteopaths, Acupuncturists and Breastfeeding Support Services.
Identifying Community Needs...
Initially the idea for the project came through discussion within our practitioner group as we were finding a significant number of clients/patients were unable to afford the treatments they needed.
From this we decided to conduct a community health needs survey which clearly showed finances were the biggest barrier to accessing complementary health care. Our survey findings were confirmed through discussions with local GP's and other local organisations.
We also established the Anderida Project Not-For-Profit Community Interest Company (CIC) and will continue to build community relationships with an aim of building a strong and supportive network.
How you can help...
Launched in May 2023 with the help of National Lottery Community Funding we are now seeking financial contributions to help us sustain this community initiative and serve the needs of those who require our assistance the most.
Your support can come in various forms, such as a direct financial contribution or by sponsoring treatments for a specific number of children. For instance, a donation of:
- £100 would provide single treatments for four children, and
- £1,000 would offer a course of treatment for ten children
Every contribution, large or small, brings us closer to ensuring the well-being of our community's most vulnerable members.
We genuinely believe that together, we can continue to create positive change in the lives of children and families who need it the most. We invite you to be a part of this journey with us, as a beacon of hope for our community's future.
Your support, no matter the amount, will directly contribute to our ability to continue providing essential treatments and services for our community.
Thank you for considering our request.

Voices from Our Community: Endorsements & Testimonials
"As a local GP, I am very grateful for the important Therapies that the Acorn Children’s Clinic provided for our younger people. It is especially useful where we often don’t want to use pharmaceutical treatments in children and really helps to address growing anxiety in the younger population without the barrier to cost, making it accessible to all."
Dr Sophie Kuhn, GP Partner and Educational Supervisor at Beacon Surgery.
"As Wealden district councillor for Forest Row I have seen the positive impact of the Acorn Children's Clinic firsthand. Their commitment to accessible and holistic care is a vital resource for our community's children, especially those in need."
