Here at Access Cornwall we know from personal experience that enjoying a day out with the family, finding a new hobby or sport or just getting out into nature isn't always easy for those with disabilities. You need to know if the place you are going is accessible for wheelchairs, suitable for autistic children, or safe if you are vision impaired.
Making Cornwall Accessible for All
We've been reviewing places all around Cornwall for 3 years now and have an amazing website sharing vital accessibility information to give disabled people freedom and the confidence to get out and enjoy the many accessible activities and venues around Cornwall.
A new Accessible Cornwall print guide
But many people need a print guide and we are asked for this regularly. Plus we need funds to go out and check all our information is up to date for 2025. We want to create a new, amazing Accessible Guide to Cornwall to help the 37% of households in the Duchy who have a disabled person at home.
Who we are helping
We are working to raise funds for our amazing staff and volunteers to create this new guide, to print and distribute it all around Cornwall. We're not just helping people who live with disabilities and neurodivergence, but also all those amazing Cornish clubs and businesses that do their very best to be as inclusive and accessible as possible. In addition, our incredible volunteers get the chance to have supported visits where their barriers become valuable knowledge, bringing social connection, self confidence and fun into their lives.
