Co-op Warm Spaces Funding Boost has provided £660 of match funding
We want to provide access to after school clubs, including evening meals for pupils that may not otherwise be able to afford it.
We're a large Primary and Nursery School, already undertaking a range of projects to support disadvantaged children and families. We want to do more to help all that need it.

We have 500 children at our school, which is a significant portion of the children in Newhaven. Through their families and extended families we reach a large percentage of the towns population.
We are increasingly seeing the affects of the cost of living crisis on our families. It no longer just affects a small percentage of families, but has a significant impact across our community. When we heard that Co-op were running their warm spaces funding boost where they match all funds raised (up to £250 per individual) we thought this was an ideal opportunity to provide access to our clubs for those who would otherwise miss out.

We already have established clubs both before and after school, however the costs of operating these are increasing and we are working hard to pass as little of these costs on to families as possible. Some of the money would allow us to continue to operate without further increasing costs to our families. The majority would be spent to fund places for children who would not normally be able to access this.
