We're still collecting donations

We are looking to make our building in to a community space, with access for all people, regardless of their level of mobility.

On the 29th November 2024 we'd raised £116 with 9 supporters in 84 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We started our scout group in 1961 and became a registered charity, with the charity commission in 1981. We have supported 1000s of local young people through community projects. We aim to be able to support all children and adults, regardless of their level of mobility and get to step-free access for our building. We need extensive renovations to be able to achieve this and to install bathrooms on the ground floor.
We plan to raise £50,000 on a multi-year program to:
1. replace our kitchen to allowed better and safer facilities for the community
2. Install downstairs toilets
3. renovate the building and expand usage behind scout projects
4. Update fire prevention systems and fire doors
5. modernise our facility to allow wider community use, such as birthday parties
6. step-free access for all!
Once we have made the building accessible for all we will host community events and social gatherings, continue with laundry for disadvantaged children and families and partner with other local resources groups to make our building a community space for all.
We will also open our doors and space for other community groups to provide local services!
