Help Us Make Accessible Holidays Possible for Everyone

Imagine looking forward to a holiday only to discover that your mobility needs make it impossible to stay safely and comfortably away from home.

For many disabled people and their families, this is a reality.

We are a small not-for-profit organisation providing affordable, disability-friendly holidays in our accessible static caravan. Our aim is simple: to give disabled people, their families, and carers the opportunity to enjoy a break, create memories, and experience the joy and freedom that a holiday can bring.

Unfortunately, despite our commitment to accessibility, we are currently unable to meet the needs of some of the people who would benefit most from our accommodation.

That's why we are raising funds for a ceiling track hoist.

A ceiling track hoist would allow guests with complex mobility needs to transfer safely and comfortably between their bed, wheelchair, and bathroom facilities. For many families, this equipment is not a luxury—it is essential.

Without it, some disabled people are unable to use our accommodation at all, while carers may face significant physical strain and increased risk of injury when assisting with transfers.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we already operate at a substantial loss to keep holidays as affordable as possible for the families who need them. The cost of purchasing and installing a ceiling track hoist is beyond our current resources, which is why we are asking for your help.

Every contribution brings us one step closer to making this essential improvement possible!

We have only so far been able to secure a single quote as the required works are so specialist. The complete system, inclusive of the ceiling track, structural, electrical, installation work as well as the hoist itself will cost £5437.22. We have reached out to other Northamptonshire based charities who support those who have mobility needs and it is hoped they will be able to help us with the other half of the funding required, however as you can imagine their resources are also limited.
