🚨 I’m Abseiling the Spinnaker Tower — and I’m Terrified of Heights! 🧗♂️😱
In a moment of either bravery or madness, I’ve signed up to abseil 100 metres down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth — all to raise money for a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart: Endometriosis South Coast 💛
💔 Why This Matters
My wife was diagnosed with Stage 4 endometriosis in 2018 after being rushed into emergency surgery — we’d only known each other for two months at the time.
Since then, endo has been a huge part of our lives:
5 surgeries in 6 years
Countless A&E visits
Sleepless nights
And way too many moments of watching someone I love go through unbearable pain
It’s a brutal condition that affects 1 in 10 women and AFAB people, yet it’s still so misunderstood and underdiagnosed. It’s not "just bad periods" — it can impact every part of life, from work to relationships to fertility and beyond.
💪 Why I’m Doing This
I’ve seen the impact of endometriosis up close. And I want to do something to support my wife and the thousands of others facing this every day.
Endometriosis South Coast is a small, local charity doing amazing work providing support, information, and community to people living with endo. Every penny raised helps them continue their mission 🙌
😅 Did I Mention I’m Scared of Heights?
Yep. Terrified. So leaning backwards over the edge of a 100m tower is way out of my comfort zone — but that’s the point. Because people living with endo face fear and uncertainty every single day.
💛 Please Donate If You Can
Whether it’s £2 or £20 — every bit helps. Thank you for reading, thank you for donating, and thank you for helping me make a difference.
Let’s do this — for my wife, and for everyone battling endometriosis. 💪💛
