ABCC is fundraising for an improved practice net facility that allow juniors and seniors to train side by side in a stronger club community.
ABCC was founded in 1881 and, with the exception of the years of the Great War, has continuously played the game in the village to this day.
Our club encourages cricket for all ages and capabilities. We offer professional coaching to all our players, particularly juniors, and we continue to develop our coaching credentials from within.
Our main aim is for everyone involved, whether our team or the oppositions team, whether playing, spectating or participating in whatever way, to enjoy themselves.
We're crowdfunding to build a professional training facility that supports our continued senior success, junior development and strengthens the future of our club. With two senior sides and a growing junior section with our All Stars and Junior Stags team - we need to improve our training facilities.
The practice net facility will allow us to increase the numbers able train simultaneously, ensuring it is safe for both our juniors and seniors to train side by side as well as allow for improved 1:1 training and our smaller junior focus sessions with our professional coaching team.
The funds raised will be used to build a new two lane practice facility.

The addition of a new training facility will significantly benefit our community by increasing access to safe, high-quality cricket training for players of all ages and abilities. With greater capacity, more people will have the opportunity to participate—whether they are experienced players, newcomers to the sport, or those returning after time away.
The facility will create a more inclusive, welcoming environment where members can train together, fostering team spirit and encouraging long-term engagement. Improved infrastructure will allow us to host more structured, enjoyable club nights, where players, families, and supporters can socialise and feel part of a vibrant, connected community.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
