We are fundraising for a new mini bus; our current mini bus is almost 10 years old and showing its age. The mini bus we have is now costing more and more money as repairs are more frequent due to age and wear and tear. We rely heavily on the mini bus to transport members to and from the Day Centre. A new mini bus is a major expense for a Charity. For Abbeyview Day Centre if we didn’t have the bus 90% of our members would be permanently house bound with no social interaction. Due to the large cost of a new mini bus, we need a substantial amount of money to buy a new one and adapted it to have a tail lift fitted sliding door with steps at the side to make it easy for our members to enter and exit the bus safely and independently.
