About me
I am Barry Littlejohn. In 2022 I was diagnosed with Bladder and Prostrate cancer. Thankfully I am now a cancer survivor, but I know that everyone isn't as lucky as me.
In appreciation of the help and support I received through the NHS, I wanted to do something to give back to the community and help others affected by Cancer, especially as 1 in 2 of us is going to affected by Cancer in our lives.
This event is my way of taking my experience and love of FMA, and using it to help generate money to support an amazing cause.
This event is also an excellent opportunity for people from across the Filipino Martial Arts community to meet, no matter their background, style or experience. With everyone knowing they are doing it for a good cause.
What is the event?
We're hosting asking the Arnis Filipino stick fighting community to help us raise money by hosting a 1 day fighting Event in London, UK.
This 1 day event will be held in The Curve in London (W12 0RQ) on Saturday 10th May 2025. This Venue will be providing a hall big enough for 3 fight mats on the day.
Fight categories
- Single Stick (Full Armor)
- Double Stick (Full Armor)
- Padded Point (Helmet and Gloves)
On the day we will be using WEKAF rules. This is because the majority of organisers are familiar with these rules and we want to only use 1 rule set for the entire day to make things as easy as possible for all fighters.
