Who are we and why are we crowdfunding?

AFC Mansfield is a Community Based Football Club based at the Forest Town Arena in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. We have a senior team that currently play in The United Counties League Premier Division (North) - step 5 of the English non-league Pyramid, Step 9 of the overall Football Pyramid.  We are committed to inclusivity and combatting division and discrimination. As Vice Chairman I  took up the cause of getting a Show Racism the Red Card billboard to show our support for the football based anti-racism charity and anti-discrimination more generally. Last year we raised enough money to fund creation of the board and rental of prime advertising space in front of the main stand.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The money raised will pay the standard commercial fee for the second year of displaying a billboard around the Arena perimeter - money that will be paid to the club itself to support continuing running costs.

Community impact

The Arena is used for all home fixtures of AFC Mansfield and also for some of the games of Woodhouse Colts sides.  In addition the Arena is used for community events such as funfairs, children's events, bonfire night, charity fundraising games and celebrations.  As such the board will be seen by many members of the public for another year. 1687270575_forest_town_arena_image_2.jpg
