A warmer Ukraine winter for artists

Aim

Across Kyiv and Eastern Ukraine artists are preparing for a frozen winter amidst the invasion. Help give some a warm retreat in Lviv.

The Jam Factory arts centre in Lviv wants to open its doors, and find local accommodation for artists from the East of Ukraine and Kyiv where conditions over winter mid-invasion are desperately daunting.  Each £800 raised will allow one artist a month in Lviv to reset, keep warm, be creative, and find refuge & new friends.

I was in Kyiv and Lviv this month and sharing ideas with the Exec Dir of the Jam Factory led to this plan "I really like this idea. I think a simple winter retreat for independent artists could be very valuable — giving them a safe place to stay in Lviv, some support for living costs, and space at Jam Factory to work, rest, or simply recharge. Could you or your organisation help us with funds which can go to allow independent artists to get warm and welcomed for a month.
