The Cause

This is our second prize draw following the success of the first one which raised £420 when we raffled off a signed Exeter Chiefs rugby ball and a signed Plymouth Argyle football.

The Catholic Children's Society (Plymouth) helps families of all faiths and none living in Devon, Cornwall and parts of Dorset who are in financial need.  Through our Essential Grants programme, we purchase the basic essentials of life for families really struggling for example, children's beds/cots and mattresses, school uniform including shoes, newborn baby equipment and white goods such as cookers, fridge/freezers and washing machines.

We are receiving unprecedented numbers of requests for our financial help through our Essential Grants programme, as more and more families are struggling to pay all the bills.  Unfortunately, we have had to start turning applications down as our funds are being depleted, so we are asking all our loyal supporters to continue to help us to help those vulnerable families living in our Diocese.
