Aim

To reduce our food waste by purchasing a cold store

A Small Good Thing is a community greengrocers with a focus on seasonal, organic produce and waste reduction. We are always making small steps to reduce our environmental impact. We started as a pop-up market stall in our local pub in July 2017, and transformed into a shop within our local area in November 2017.

Combatting food waste is a large part of our business model. We have already made positive steps; we use excess produce to cook soups, stews and preserves and all of our green waste is composted at a local allotment site. But with Summer approaching, we need to go a step further.

Our crowdfunding project is simple; we are hoping to raise funds for a walk-in cold store to help keep our produce fresh for longer.

We started on a shoestring budget, and threw everything we had saved into getting the shop going. We have come as far as we can with our own money, we are asking for your donations to help us progress onto the next stage of our journey.
