Grace & Flavour needs a new shredder for the community kitchen garden.
The G&F project began as a bit of a mad idea in 2008. We built a team, found land (a derelict walled garden on National Trust ground), formed agreements, sourced some money, and started.

Eight years later the garden is a fully functioning community project. We are financially self sufficient - though every now and then a sub-project emerges (Come and have a look at the potting shed, you'll be very impressed!)
Another - much less expensive - project is our compost corner. After a couple of years of a fairly amateur approach to composting, one of our members took it in hand properly. We now have a really good system, and as a result we have a steady supply of excellent compost.
One of the few flies in the proverbial ointment has been the loss of some of our key tools to theft. We've changed our methods and no longer store tools at the garden but one of the things we lost in 2015 was a really useful shredder. Our 'compost man' (Jeremy to you and me), has been a bit sad about it and we would very much like to put a smile on his face and a shredder in his hand.
Here he is (David on the left, Jeremy on the right)
Co-Founder Su has been 'banging on' about crowd-funding for a while and we all agreed that if we were able to buy a new shredder through a crowdfunding campaign that would be a very good thing indeed.
They've set their hearts on an Allen “Mighty Mac” Shredder/Mulcher for various reasons:
They're £900 new and we think we can get one for £350, so that's what we are hoping to raise. Here it is...isn't it beautiful?
