Aim

A Second Chance is an original new British musical about love, family, struggle, sacrifice, identity, and the search for self-acceptance.

OUR ASK

We are fast approaching our final workshop in 2024, and we need your help completing the funding for this vital stage in our development.

Unfortunately, we continue to experience first hand the slashing of arts funding across the entire country. These are challenging times, but as artists, we always strive to find a way forward. That is why we are reaching out to you, our community, to help in any way you can.

Your valued contribution will enable us to complete the development of our musical. The funds raised will finance cast and creative fees, location hire, and logistics.

The workshop will culminate in two showings, allowing us to present our musical to the industry at large, a necessary next step on our journey towards production. If you can not donate at this time, please share this page and help us reach a wider audience.

ABOUT/HISTORY

We are immensely proud that A Second Chance is the first British musical to feature a trans man in the starring role, Riley Carter (Eastenders), alongside a host of British musical theatre talent. Our bold and brave production is inspired by the real-life events of Composer/Lyricist Colin Ross Waterson.

It is now more crucial than ever that LGBTQ+ based stories take precedence due to the current political climate at home and overseas. These stories are human stories relatable to everyone despite age, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality.

We began working on A Second Chance in November 2019. We have thus far produced and funded two readings and two workshops. This workshop will be our third and final.

MUSIC

Church band horns and fantastical strings take you on a journey through genres with echos of Bowie, Sondheim, and Joni Mitchell. A collision of musical theatre, singer-songwriter, and classical music ignite this powerful and original score.
