Onside Soccer delivers football for children, girls, women and dads & a youth leadership programme. It has been working in Sutton since 2015
Who we are
We've been running football in Carshalton since 2015: football for children through the week, girls' and women's football, and a dads' session, alongside a youth leadership programme led by a dedicated mentor. Around 60 to 70 children come through every week, at Stanley Park Playing Fields on Sundays and Oaks Park High School midweek. Ten coaches keep it running.

Why we're crowdfunding
Running Carshalton costs in excess of £20,000 a year, and we're asking for £5,250 here towards it.
Three sessions a week means regular exercise built into these families' routines — and just as importantly, somewhere to belong and coaches who know their names, which matters as much for mental health as for fitness. It creates real opportunities for young people, and everyone it reaches lives in the London Borough of Sutton.
How we'll spend the money raised
£5,250 goes towards pitch hire, equipment and kit for the children who need it, with a small amount towards staffing — the pitch, the kit, and the coaches on it.
Community impact
This isn't only about the football. The dads' session brings parents onto the same pitch as their kids, and the leadership programme gives our older players real responsibility — a reason to turn up for someone other than themselves, and a way to give back to their own community. Some of the young people who came through Carshalton are now working in professional football. Others are back most weeks as volunteer coaches, passing on what they were given.
