Aim

Help give George a gift that will change his life.

George Holloway-Bartle is 15 years old and lives in West Sussex with his mum, dad and little brother Jack. He only has the full use of his left arm and leg as a result of an operation to control seizures that started when he was a baby. George's eyesight was also affected by the operation and although he has always wanted to play sport, he's shied away from it. So, over the years George has taken up more solitary activities like playing computer games and watching TV.

George recently started attending Albion in the Community’s (AITC) powerchair sessions and the impact on his life has been huge.

Playing sport has energised him; he loves contributing to a team and socialising with people his own age. When he scored his first goal he was so pleased he couldn't stop talking about it.

But in order to carry on playing George needs a chair of his own. Until now AITC has been able to loan him a chair, but we want to raise enough money to buy him a chair of his own, modified to his particular needs so he can continue to enjoy being a member of a team and socialising with his peers.

Please will you help us give George a 2016 to remember and a gift that will change his life by making a donation towards the cost of a new Storm competition wheelchair. A powerchair of his own will mean George can make new friends, continue going to the football sessions he looks forward to and score more goals.

George's dad, Matt told us: "George has started to notice his limitations; his family knows it gets him down but no one else would - everyone else sees a really positive and cheerful young man.

“The sessions he attends have had a fantastic impact. It's so good to see him so positive about something. It gives him a different outlook."

Please give what you can and together we can give George the powerchair he so desperately needs and deserves.

If we are lucky enought to hit our target any additional donations will go to our disability programme helping other young people like George.

On behalf of George and everyone at Albion in the Community: thank you.
