Our goal is to transform our current space into a true community hub -somewhere people don’t just access food, but receive holistic support.

ALL DONATIONS WILL BE TRIPLED! 

At The Brick, we run a Food Community at St George’s Church on Water Street, Wigan - a place where people can access affordable, nutritious food with choice, dignity and respect.

We are not a traditional food bank. While we do provide emergency support when needed, our focus is on long-term solutions to food poverty, ensuring everyone has the right to good, healthy food in a welcoming environment.

Our Vision

We want to go further.

Our goal is to transform our current space into a true community hub - somewhere people don’t just access food, but receive holistic support to improve their lives.

Right now, we have a shop-style layout and a small area where visitors can sit and have a warm drink. But we know we can do so much more with the space we have.

What We Want to Achieve

With your support, we will:

• Redesign the layout to make the space more welcoming and functional
• Build walls to create private, safe spaces for support sessions
• Install additional storage and shelving to increase food capacity
• Create a café-style hatch and seating area to encourage connection and reduce isolation
• Bring in specialist support services, including: 
  • Therapy and wellbeing sessions
  • Financial advice and support
  • Group workshops
  • School holiday activities for families
