Project aim

Show Garden representing England in particular Herefordshire & Worcestershire at the World Cup of Gardening in Nagasaki, Japan

About the project

I am the only female garden designer representing England in Nagasaki at The Japan Garden and Flower Show this October. The design was inspired by the counties of Hereford and Worcester where I grew up and now work as a Landscape Designer.

I am very proud of my County and that we started up a small bespoke design studio in the heart of it. The design accepted is a celebration of Britain’s oldest and most enduring garden style ‘A Place for Nature and Nurture’ draws inspiration from this area and its small cottage gardens. These gardens are perhaps more closely connected to us today than ever before as new houses are built on ever smaller plots.

Although the design has been accepted there is no funding available from the sponsors to cover travel costs to Japan and unlike other Designers our practice is not sufficently large enough to attract corporate funding it seems, so I am grounded unless I can raise the nescessary funds.
