Sports Hall Floor Fundraiser.

The issue?

The Sports Hall floor was laid in 2004 and is now in desperate need of being replaced so that The John Fisher School can maintain the high standards of its' facilities and maintain wider participation and sporting excellence.

What have we done?

The John Fisher School have sought funding from capital grant funds but this has not been successful. The total cost of the floor is £100,000. As you can see from the photographs, the floor is edging closer to being unusable. We can change that in a matter of weeks.

The good news?

There is a reason to be optimistic because the school can have a brand new floor laid this Easter. Some former parents of the school, alongside some alumni, have already donated over £50,000. Alongside the school and JFA, we already have £71,000 of the total needed. We now need our parents/carers to help take us to our goal. We have researched contractors and surface types and are ready to move forward as soon as the funds are in place.

If we can raise the remaining money by 17 February, we can have the work done over EASTER! There are a number of rewards for different donation levels, and every donor (over £25) will have their name etched into the brass plaque which will be on the wall in the foyer, demonstrating the power of our community. The best news?

A very generous alumni is willing to match fund the first £5,000 meaning every £1 you donate, is really worth £2 (and even more with gift aid!)

We know the cost of living is challenging for so many, and we know that there is nowhere to hide from energy costs, interest rates or inflation. 

We simply ask: Give if you can. Give what you can.

Every student will benefit from this new floor, in PE, team meetings, Kennedy Cup assemblies, guest speakers, sporting fixtures...the list goes on.
