timidated While Busking: Help Replace Elliot’s Ruined Pipe Case

Hi everyone, I’m Elliot, a 12-year-old bagpiper from Preston Lodge High School Pipe Band.

While I was busking in Edinburgh on Saturday 19th September, I had a really upsetting experience involving TikTok and YouTube influencer J2hundred and people who were following him during a livestream.

I was surrounded at very close proximity while I was playing and was repeatedly asked to play for them. One of the people following him sprayed liquid over me and my pipe case. My pipe case has been ruined and my kilt now needs to be dry cleaned.

I was intimidated and very upset by what happened. I tried to hold it together while they were there, but when they finally left me alone, I was really upset.

My mum contacted J2hundred afterwards, but he has not apologised or accepted responsibility for what happened.

I’m therefore raising money to cover the cost of replacing my ruined pipe case and having my kilt professionally dry cleaned.

I didn’t expect to have to ask people for help with this, but the response to my original post has been incredible. So many people have sent messages of support and kindness, and it has genuinely helped me after what happened.

If I raise more than is needed to replace my case and clean my kilt, I would like to donate the extra money to my pipe band. We have 96 members, and travelling to competitions can require several coaches and drivers, which is expensive. Our pipe band is a charity and is always in need of support.
