The Prize

A few weeks ago, we came across this absolutely beautiful teddy bear left alone in a bin. He looks like he has had years of love and adventure, and we have no idea how he ended up where he did, but we are so glad we were there to find him. We snuggled him safely into our car and brought him back to HQ, where he had a hot cocoa and pair of teddy pyjamas waiting for him. We introduced him to you and almost 100K people showed their love, suggestions for his name and expressed interest in offering him a home. So, we thought we'd find that home as fairly as possible, whilst supporting an incredible cause at the same time. Let's get Edward Theodore (or 'Teddy Ted') a home, and bring some support to an incredible charity this Christmas.

The Cause

Right now over 134,000* children in the UK are eligible for a wish because they are dealing with the grueling daily reality of life with a critical illness. When it comes to their dreams, they deserve to wish for more than a life defined by their illness.

Make-A-Wish are granting a record number of wishes yet they face an urgent challenge. The demand for wishes is far outpacing their best efforts to keep up, so it’s taking longer than ever to grant once-in-a-lifetime wishes. But the heartbreaking reality is that many families simply can’t wait this long.

Wishes have the power to rescue the magic of childhood and provide a much-needed escape from the gruelling daily reality of a life defined by ongoing treatments, endless hospital stays and their critical illness.

The one wish we can’t guarantee is more time, but only with your support, can we ensure their life isn’t defined by illness.
