We aim to replace the much-loved gazebo in the Community Gardens that was irreparably damaged by Storm Amy in 2025
Who are we, and what is our project about?
We are a charity based in the small, remote costal village of Lochgoilhead in Argyll. In addition to raising and distributing charitable funds to a wide range of community projects, we directly manage a number of community amenities, including a community garden, an easy-access path network, and a children's play-park. A large 6m x 4m metal gazebo in our community gardens, itself purchased through generous donations, was irreparably damaged during Storm Amy in 2025. The gazebo provided a meeting place, a space for visitors and garden volunteers to rest, and a safe place for children to play (we kept a box of toys under the gazebo for anyone to play with with).
Why are we crowdfunding?
We aim to replace the gazebo with a solid, part-timber, storm-resistant gazebo. We hope to build upon generous local donations to purchase a new 6.1m x 3.7 Barrington timber and steel model. Any additional funds raised would help us to buy new seats and more toys for the gazebo and potentially to install a power supply to the gazebo for lighting.

How we’ll spend the money raised
The storm-resistant gazebo we hope to buy is currently £2,699. We will need some materials for securely fixing it. The gazebo will be installed by our wonderful volunteers.

How you can help

1. Make a donation
Every pledge gets us closer to our goal. Early support can help build momentum and inspire others to give too.
2. Spread the word
