Aim: Nomad want to provide safe, secure accommodation to young vulnerable people in our city. Changing lives by giving people a home.
Nomad's focus for 2020 and beyond is our Training Flats programme. These allow young people to learn the skills they need to live independently, while still receiving support and guidance from our team. These flats support on average 64 people per year and enable 88% of our clients to achieve independent living in private rental accommodation within 12 months.
For every individual who gets help through these flats, we save the public £3,251.00 which would be spent on continued emergency housing services. We also transform the lives of our service users, giving them the skills they need to build their own future. We help to protect the most disadvantaged in our communities to improve their mental health and employment skills for long term success.
Last year we received over 350 referrals to our services, in light of the recent events with Covid, and the ongoing housing crisis, this number is likely to grow. We need your help to expand our programme and open more doors to vulnerable young people facing homelessness.
