We want to buy a permanent site for Bluebell Bushcraft - a healthy woodland for nature connection, education & encouraging biodiversity.

by Matthew Harder in Pulborough, West Sussex, United Kingdom

I started Bluebell Bushcraft in 2017 after working for nearly a decade with children in nature.

We offer a huge range of programmes, events and services, from 1-2-1 Bushcraft training, to corporate events, birthday parties, and our increasingly popular Wilderness Kids Holiday Camp during school holidays.

Unfortunately, like a huge number of native woodlands, our site has become overwhelmed by Ash die-back, and will soon need to be completed cut down. Although the woodland will recover eventually, this upcoming loss of a site is motivating me to find a more permanent and managed woodland as a host for our education and play.

We are passionate about teaching children and adults how to connect with our native forests and woodlands, but need a site to do this.

As a very small business, being able to buy a woodland is a very difficult task, so we need help. We don't want anything huge - just enough to be sustainable, to promote climate conscious behaviours and life skills, and to allow our participants to observe and interact with the environment, with which we share a deep and symbiotic relationship.
