A Green councillor for Tong

Aim

We are looking to raise funds to cover our election leaflet for Tong Ward.

Over the last 12 months, we have been speaking to people across Tong Ward. 

They are telling us that they are fed up with the same old politics of Labour and the Tories.

Many of them never hear from the current Labour Party councillors and they feel that Bradford’s Labour-run council doesn’t listen to their views when it makes decisions about their area.

Bradford Council needs to make tough decisions to reduce spending. But as services are being cut, councillors from both the main parties are fighting amongst themselves and trying to score cheap political points.

The Green Party councillors on Bradford Council have already shown that there can be a different way.

Martin, Hawarun and Kevin have delivered nearly two decades of the most progressive politics that Bradford District has ever seen.

They are proof of the importance of having Green voices around the decision-making tables of local democracy.

We want to elect a councillor for Tong Ward, who will be a strong voice for Bierley, Holme Wood, Woodlands, Tyresal and Tong Village.

The Green Party are funded by members and supporters. We don’t have the backing of big business or trade unions. This means that we are free to put the needs of people and planet first. We don’t owe any favours to big organisations. It also means that we rely upon volunteers and the generosity of individual donors. So I’m hoping that you can help?

The funds from this Crowdfunder will be used to pay for the election address which will be delivered to 5,000 across Tong Ward.

Wherever you are in Bradford or elsewhere, please help if you can, and please ask others to chip in too. Every pound will help.
