Emma Herdman Gallery

Aim

To open a Gallery. I want to showcase the beautiful work of artists and artisans from around Scotland and beyond.

I am opening a Gallery in the beautiful Scottish Borders town of Melrose.  I am a working artist and the gallery will also be my studio space.  I work in watercolours, creating gentle calming images of animals, buildings and landscapes. 

The Gallery  will also showcase the work of artists and artisans from around the region. There is an immense amount of talent which needs to be shared with the community.

I already have around 25 artists and artisans interested in being represented at Emma Herdman Gallery and I know many other incredible artists who I hope will be represented in the future.  They range from landscape painters, photographers, jewelry designers, ceramicists and home ware designers and include established artisans, new graduates and self taught artists. My gallery will have a very personal touch - I know the story behind every artist whose work will be showcased in the Gallery and their work is inspirational. 

The following are on board so far: Clare Brownlow, Helen Wilson, Kittiwake Designs,  Linda Foster,  Lisa Forbes, Lynda Marwood, Lynn Renney,  Reclaimed Wood Man, Robert Anderson, Sivi Davey and Tony Nelson .  

More will be announced through the coming weeks. I want to create a Gallery of beauty and I am sure with your support I will be able to do this. Your support will allow me to 'kit out' the space - furniture to display the beautiful items to their best advantage and create the appropriate signage. Thank you.
