Aim
Support Andrew during his recovery from Guillain-Barré Syndrom, buy a ticket to win great prizes donated by local traders.
The Cause
As many of you know, our friend and regular market trader Andrew has recently been diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome - a rare neurological condition that has had a sudden and life-changing impact.
What began as pain and tingling quickly progressed to severe weakness, leaving Andrew unable to walk and with limited use of his arms. He is currently in hospital receiving treatment, with recovery expected to take weeks or even months of rehabilitation and physiotherapy.
As a self-employed trader, this has meant an immediate loss of income. Like many small business owners, there is no safety net when he cannot work - yet the bills and day-to-day costs continue. Andrew is a valued part of our market community, always supportive, hardworking and positive.
Now it’s our turn to support him.

To help, traders and local businesses from across Cornwall have come together to donate an incredible range of prizes with a total value of over £1,750 for this fundraising draw.

Every prize has been generously donated, making this a true community-led effort - so every ticket sold goes directly towards supporting Andrew while he focuses on recovery.
How to Enter
🎟️ Tickets are £5 each, with multiple entries allowed.
Winners will be selected at random after the draw closes at midday on 24/04/26 and notified by email within 48 hours. Prizes will be arranged directly with winners for collection or delivery depending on the item.
Whether you’re treating yourself or gifting to someone else, there’s something for everyone.

📩 You can also enter by sending a postcard with your full name, address, and contact email, marked 'A Fundraiser for Andrew' to: Royal Kenwyn Yard, Shortlanesend, Truro, TR4 9BY. One entry per postcard. Postcards must arrive by 22/04/26.
