A Deadly Orientation: A Blake Hetherington Mystery 

Help make the next Blake Hetherington Mystery a reality!

This project is to raise some of the funds needed to publish the paperback version of the 'A Deadly Orientation', the seventh Blake Hetherington Mystery in the series, through presales and other rewards. Funds raised will go towards, cover art, editing, proofreading, and printing.

Rewards such as, Hetheringtonism window stickers, a themed geocache from 'A Deadly Orientation', or the chance to name a character in the book, are exclusive to this project and will not be offered anywhere else.

You will be one of the first to read this mystery. The e-book will not be released until 2017. The first print run of the paperback will also be numbered. Further print runs will not be. 

Blake is a gentleman milliner often finding himself involved in murder and he needs your help to tell his tale. All you have to do is have faith in Blake and pledge as little a £5 to help publish this tale of murder, missing artefacts, geocaching and foraging. 

A little more about 'A Deadly Orientation':

'The seventh mystery in the Blake Hetherington series finds our heroes on the trail of valuable missing artefacts. Blake has set himself up as a private investigator and, as always, Delilah is more than happy to help. Together Blake and Delilah must unpick a mystery that dates back to the time of El Dorado. 

Geocachers, foragers, murderers and archeologists all feature in this, the seventh mystery and the third novel in the series. '

Blake, Delilah and Rob are the heroes of this treasure-hunting tale.

Blake is retired milliner who, when not involved in a case, spends his days tending to his allotment or making bespoke millinery commissions in his shed. Delilah is an enthusiastic archaeologist with an unhealthy interest in the dead and her boyfriend DS Rob Claringdon despairs of them both. He's not sure if their amateur investigations enhance his career of endanger it.

'A Deadly Orientation' centres on the fictional and quintessentially English village of Tuesbury and the secrets is holds.

What happens once I've made my pledge?

I will be keeping you up to date throughout the crowd funder as we take a journey around Tuesbury and learn more about the fictional village that Blake lives in. Each time we reach a target I will post an excerpt, from the Tuesbury Tourist Information pamphlet, introducing you to a place in Tuesbury.

• When we hit £50 we'll visit Tuvey's Antiques
• At £100 we'll stop for a coffee at the Shangri La Cafe on the High Street
• £200 sees us taking a walk through Druid Woods
• Blackwood Manor is the next port of call as we reach £400
• Stop at the Badger's Holt, Blake's local, for a pint when we reach £500
• Blake's beloved cottage, 'Little Acorns,' is our target and we'll be able to read all about it when we hit £600.

The crowdfunder is scheduled to end on the 20th September and I aim to have the book produced and printed in time for Christmas. I will keep all pledgers updated on its progress via my social media and e-mail list.
