Helping Care Leavers Build Their First Home

Aim

Raising funds to help care-experienced young people create safe, clean, welcoming first homes with essential items and deep cleans.

Every young person deserves the chance to begin independent living with dignity, comfort and hope.

We're raising funds to support care-experienced young people in Renfrewshire who are moving into their first home. Many leave care with very few possessions and little support, often moving into empty properties that need cleaning and basic household essentials before they can truly feel like home.

Through this project, we'll provide a Deep Clean plus a tailored support package worth up to £300 for each young person we help. Depending on their individual needs, this may include, bedding, curtains, floor coverings, kitchen essentials or other items that help create a safe, welcoming home.

Our aim is to raise enough money to support 3–5 young people in the first phase of the project. Every penny donated will go directly towards helping someone make a positive start in their new home, giving them not just practical support, but the confidence and pride that comes with having a place they can truly call their own.

Together, we can turn an empty property into a home and give care-experienced young people the fresh start they deserve.

Funding method

Keep what you raise – this project will receive all pledges made by 16th August 2026 at 12:00pm
