ALTEN UK: National 3 Peaks Challenge - Supporting Care Leavers
On April 25, 2025, a dedicated team from ALTEN UK, their associates and friends will take on the ultimate test of endurance – the National 3 Peaks Challenge!
In just 24 hours, we will conquer Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon to raise vital funds for young Care Leavers across the UK. This challenge is not just about reaching physical peaks – it’s about helping young people overcome emotional and life-altering obstacles, enabling them to rise above their past and pursue a brighter future.
Why We’re Doing It
Imagine being taken into care as a child—perhaps after suffering abuse, neglect, or the devastating loss of your parents. Instead of the stability of a loving home, these young people often endure multiple moves, new foster carers, or life in a residential home. By the time they leave care, they’ve already faced more hardship than most of us could ever imagine. And then? They’re expected to navigate the challenges of adulthood—alone.
This is the reality for far too many Care Leavers. But together, we can help change that.
ALTEN UK believes in Diversity, Inclusion, and Talent. Supporting Care Leavers aligns with these core values, and this challenge is an opportunity to not just raise money, but to raise awareness about the barriers these young people face. Every donation, every step taken in this challenge, helps us provide the resources they need to build a brighter future.
What the Money Will Be Used For
We’re raising £7000 for the ‘Future Me’ Project, which supports Care Leavers aged 16-25. The funds raised will help provide:
- Education grants: Giving young Care Leavers the opportunity to access education, build their skills, and dream bigger than ever before.
- Crisis support: Providing vital financial assistance for food, utilities, and emergency accommodation in times of need.
- Career development: Helping young people break into meaningful careers by overcoming the barriers they face, gaining essential skills, and connecting directly with employers who can offer real opportunities.
- Life skills training: Offering practical guidance to help Care Leavers navigate adulthood with confidence and independence.
Last year, Rees responded to over 2,000 Care Leavers—proving just how vital our work is. But Rees is more than just a charity; we’re a community, a tribe, a second family. For many Care Experienced People, Rees is the family they never had—a constant source of support, love, and understanding that helps them get through life’s toughest moments.
These young people have faced more challenges than many of us can imagine, but with the right support, they can achieve incredible things. By donating to this cause, you’re not just giving them the chance to survive – you’re giving them the tools they need to thrive and create their own futures.
How You Can Help
We need your support! Every donation counts, no matter how big or small. By sponsoring our team, you’re helping young Care Leavers break free from the cycle of adversity and start building the lives they deserve. Your generosity will help give them the chance to dream big, pursue their goals, and reach new heights.
Please join us in making a lasting difference. Let’s show these young people that no matter where they come from, they can achieve anything.
Thank you for your kindness and support!
