We're still collecting donations
On the 13th August 2020 we'd raised £960 with 18 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Your help will enable the 2nd WALTHAM FOREST CELLO FEST 2020 to resume cello events online and to support our cellists affected by COVID-19.

On the 13th August 2020 we'd raised £960 with 18 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
As you can imagine the Covid-19 epidemic already affected our festival. Similarly as millions of people everywhere. Out of concern for the safety of our public and musicians, and in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus), we have decided to postpone some of our concerts for a later dates and to introduce various cello projects online.
Please consider supporting the 2nd WALTHAM FOREST CELLO FEST 2020 in London. To help us to resume our cello concert and recitals, to support our cellists affected by COVID-19 and to bring our cello activities online to you.
Thank you for helping us to survive this difficult time!
This year the festival commemorates the 335th anniversary of the birth of Johann Sebastian Bach, the 250th anniversary of the birth of Ludwig van Beethoven, the 250th anniversary of the death of Italian baroque composer Giuseppe Tartini, the 175th anniversary of the birth of French composer Gabriel Fauré, the 140th anniversary of the birth of Swiss - American composer Ernest Bloch, the 140th anniversary of the death of French - German composer Jacques Offenbach, the 140th anniversary of the birth of Jewish composer James Simon and the 100th anniversary of the birth of Armenian composer Alexander Arutjunjan!
The 2nd annual WALTHAM FOREST CELLO FEST in London 2020 will feature cellist František Brikcius, composer and organist Irena Kosíková, Czech cellist Anna Brikciusová and siblings cello chamber ensemble Duo Brikcius. More musicians TBC.
As in previous year (London's first ever Borough of Culture in 2019) there will be different parts:
Concerts will be held in The London Borough of Waltham Forest (historic Victoria Line Carriage - Walthamstow Pumphouse Museum, Church of St Michael and All Angels in Walthamstow, St Barnabas Church Walthamstow, etc. TBA) and remotely online.
Waltham Forest Cello Fest forms part of the Daniel Pearl World Music Days, which commemorate the legacy of journalist, musician Daniel Pearl, brutally murdered by group of terrorists for defending freedom of speech.
