To continue the diversification of the farm and to bring further employment to the village and surrounding area.

In 2012 we established a small microbrewery on the farm, using the greenest construction methods we could utilise; from using our hay bails for insulation to using 3 old shipping containers as the building fabric. At present we are preparing the brewery's 'green roof' and mobilising to utilise the cattle shed's roof for 200 solar panels and hence remove our need for fossil fuels.

We also have a wonderful artisan butchers on site that employs a young 'craft trained' butcher. Here we sell our prime beef, which has been fed on the grains from the brewery, to the local market place. We also support local small holders as they can sell their produce via our butchery.
So What Are We Trying to Achieve?
We have a small out building that has been identified to become our smoke house.
The smokery will allow us to smoke our meats and smoke our grains giving extra recipes to our brewery.
The smokery requires fitting out. We are ready to buy our materials from the local building suppliers (not a national company) and we are ready to employ a local builder to carry out the works (2nd generation villager).
On completion we will employ someone from the local area to run this new establishment.
However we need the funding and this is where we need your wonderful help.
PS - We have been asked by people who wish to do the brew day/ brewery tour if they can pitch tent/ caravan for the evening after supping a few ales, the answer is YES!
